Platform Value Group
Careers at PVG

Built by independents. Hiring independents.

PVG is a firm of independent senior consultants doing the post-go-live work most consulting firms underbudget. The 1099 structure is not a workaround. It is the model. On purpose. If you have already chosen independence, this is the firm built for you.

What's different here
No utilization target eating your weekends. No timesheet surveillance.
No partner-track machinery. The work is the work.
Senior people lead engagements because they are the right person for the engagement, not because of an org chart.
Real engagements, fair rates, and a real bench to collaborate with.

The firm Jen wanted to work at.

Platform Value Group helps wealth management firms turn platform investments into measured business value. Our clients are COOs, CTOs, and operations leaders at RIAs and broker-dealers who paid for technology that is not delivering the ROI it promised. We close that gap.

Jen Maruca founded PVG after 10+ years of contract consulting for other firms. She turned down multiple W-2 offers along the way. Not because W-2 was too risky, but because the independent model produces better consulting work, better cultures, and happier people. That conviction is the firm.

We are modeled on the proven structure of top-tier wealthtech consulting firms, where the majority of consultants operate as independents because the model produces better work and better lives. We attract experienced practitioners who have already chosen independence and want better engagements with less friction.

Hiring two contract consultants this quarter.

Both roles are 1099, engagement-based, remote, and structured around senior wealth management work. Strong performers earn repeat engagement and visibility into future partnership pathways as the firm scales.

  • Bonus: experience with Orion, Envestnet, Black Diamond, Wealthbox, Pershing, Schwab, or Salesforce Financial Services Cloud

Platform value, at the role level.

Both roles work across the engagement types that make up the firm's practice. Wealth management firms hire us when the platforms are bought but the value is not yet showing up. We close that gap with operating discipline, not opinions.

Engagement types
Value Realization Assessment. 4 to 6 week diagnostic engagements.
Value Realization Engagement. 3 to 9 month Roadmap and Execution work.
Value Realization Office. Ongoing retainer support for established clients.
AI Track. AI Readiness Assessments and AI enablement engagements.
Data Track. Analytics Foundation work, often through Ezra Group partnership.

Transparent scope. Transparent pay. No surprises.

We respond to applications within 5 business days. The first conversation is a 30-minute call with Jen to discuss your experience and how the firm works. Strong fits move to a small paid pilot project before joining the regular rotation. The pilot is real work, scoped and paid at market rate, not a free audition.

Engagements are scoped, rate-defined, and project-bounded. Strong work earns repeat engagement and a place in the regular rotation. Future pathway: strong performers on the bench will have visibility to future partnership pathways as the firm scales. We are not building a closed shop.

If you have already chosen independence, this is the firm built for you.

Email Jen directly with the appropriate subject line above. If you are not sure which role fits, send the note anyway. We sort it out together.
